Minutes from downtown Pine Mountain, Callaway Resort & Gardens has been a Harris County staple since its inception in 1952. Founded by Cason and Virginia Callaway in an attempt to create a space where “man and nature could abide together for the good of both”. Over seven decades later, Callaway Resort & Gardens continues to leave guests enthralled by the natural beauty of West Georgia.
There are a variety of unique attractions in Callaway Gardens. Robin Lake Beach, a beautiful 1-mile white sand beach, is a family-favorite and features sub-activities like the inflatable ‘Aqua Island’. Guests can adventure amongst the pines in the ‘Treetop Adventure’ zip-line course, or learn more about local flora and fauna in the Discovery Center. For those who want to know even more about the local ecosystem, The Birds of Prey show gives visitors an up-close and personal experience with hawks, owls and more!
Two masterfully designed golf courses also keep guests entertained during their stay at Callaway. The Mountain View Course has hosted multiple PGA Tour events and is the more challenging of the two, while the Lake View Course provides a more relaxed experience (if you can avoid all of the water hazards).
Headlining every holiday season for the last 25 years is Fantasy in Lights, Callaway’s signature holiday event. Millions of lights are displayed throughout the Gardens and the property is fully immersed in holiday spirit!
